Typical Cloud Discovery Process
- Tapes are delivered to Sententia Discovery’s Secure Facility.
- Tapes are logged and secured in the processing lab.
- Tapes are catalogued and fully indexed.
- Content of tape is available for review.
- Users search and identify relevant content with remote access to one of our search and analysis tools.
- Once the desired file set is identified, it is tagged for extraction.
- Our professionals extract the tagged ESI from tape. ESI is delivered to or exposed to the user for download.
- Index of data can be hosted in the cloud for the duration of the project, or archived offline for future access.
Tape data recovery:
- Once we have the tapes in our data centre, we offer web-based capability to catalogue, search and extract data from most types of backup tape types and backup software.
- Most media types – We can work with most tape types / series including 4mm, 8mm, DDS, DLT, Exabyte, QIC, DAT, LTO
- Recovery – we offer limited data recovery from damaged tapes
- Backup software – we can work with most commonly encountered backup software
